Delt the Nightmaren

This Nightmaren, named Delt, represents the bittersweet freedom I experience when I dream. Because I anxiously sleep with one eye open, I must dream with one eye closed. I get to experience those things that are most important to me, but everything appears flat. Time gradually sinks down into the depths of my consciousness, only to rise up in bubbles that lead back to the waking world. Time is limited in my makeshift playground. It is my fate to chase that last hour back into reality, where I must continue to endure more hardships. Once I wake up, I sigh and momentarily ponder what dreams I might have that night- hopefully someday I'll remember one.

This was my entry for 's In My Dreams Competition on www.nightintodreams.com . I wanted the theme to be slightly dark, but while using bright colors.
